Practic Classes
Below are descriptions of our class types to give you an idea of the difficulty level to be expected in a class.
PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE VERY GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS MEANT TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF HOW STRENUOUS THE CLASS CAN BE IF YOU ARE NEW TO YOGA.
EACH OF OUR INSTRUCTORS ARE GUIDED TO CREATE THEIR OWN STYLE FOR RUNNING THEIR CLASS, AND SO MAY NOT INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF DESCRIPTIONS SEEN BELOW.

All Levels
Style:
Basic flow practice, simple to intermediate sequences, salutations, and vinyasas.
Skills Covered:
Wider variety of postures, introduction to some advanced postures, posture sequencing (vinyasa exploration, mini flows, and sun salutations), connecting breath with movement, and increased personal focus.
Mastery:
Confidence with Sun Salutations, as well as basic postures and flows.
This class is for you if:
You are someone who has taken some yoga classes, and you feel confident in your basic knowledge. A good transition class to get back into yoga and working out.
Basic / Level 1
Style:
Basic flow practice, simple sequences, possible salutations and vinyasas.
Skills Covered:
Simple posture sequencing (vinyasa exploration, mini flows, and sun salutations), connecting breath with movement, alignment and safety inside of flows, and increased personal focus.
Mastery:
Familiarity with salutations, most basic postures, and simple flows.
This class is for you if:
You are someone who has taken some yoga classes, but would like more grounding in the more simple aspects of postures and flow. A good transition class to get back into yoga and working out.
Level 1-2
Style:
Full flow practice, intermediate sequences with continuing sun salutations, and vinyasas.
Skills Covered:
Full Flow with simple to complex flows and posture sequencing, further development into advanced postures, exploration of advanced pranayama techniques, structure and alignment of advanced postures. Regular use of bandhas (a Sanskrit term for "binding, bond, arrest, capturing, putting together"), and dristi (means for developing concentrated intention, and sense withdrawal).
Mastery:
Confidence in using pranayama (prana, life force, or vital energy, particularly, the breath, and "ayāma", to extend or draw out), confidence in basic postures, can perform Sun Salutation and flow between postures with minimal instruction, confidence with alignment in basic postures, can use postures and or pranayama for simple yoga therapy.
This class is for you if:
You are already participating in an active lifestyle, and you have taken yoga classes before and are familiar with typical Level 1 postures and techniques.
The Conditioning Class :: Level 1
Style:
Think of this class as your yoga-cardio kick. Basic Yoga postures mixed with a beginner boot-camp aerobic work-out.
Skills Covered:
Increasing heart rate while energizing the spirit. Increases strength, and most of all... endurance.
Mastery:
Confident in group cardio settings and familiarity with basic Yoga poses.
This class is for you if:
You have little to no experience with Yoga and/or aerobics boot camp classes, and would like to increase your cario and endurance.
Family Yoga :: Mommy & Me
Style:
A basic practice designed with breathing exercises and yoga postures for you and your little one.
Skills Covered:
Learn fun games that will have you and your child moving through updog and downdog as a team.
Mastery:
Confidence in practicing yoga together with your little one.
This class is for you if:
You are looking for an opportunity to have yoga in your life... AND you are a busy mom! (Children ages infant to 2 years old)
Family Yoga :: Kids Rule Yoga
Style:
A practice geared towards giving kids their first experience with yoga - exploring the world of yoga by going on Yoga Adventures.
Skills Covered:
Learning fun games that will allow your child to get familiar with yoga postures and breathing.
This class is for child if:
Your little guy or gal is excited to explore yoga!
Fundamentals
Style:
Workshop Style including a static Hatha practice.
Skills Covered:
Basic postures and their proper alignment, basic breathing techniques, posture structure, energy lines, & connecting with breath inside of the posture.
Mastery:
Confident in basic asanas and general approach to asana.
This class is for you if:
You are someone who is completely new to yoga, or you have never had the chance to slow your yoga process down to really learn the postures as they are meant to be done. This class will go at a slower pace, so if you have not worked out in awhile, you can really start here and work your way up. Pair this with a Level 1 class if you have taken yoga classes before, but would like to get grounded in proper techniques.
